Fees, without surprises
Current marketplace fee: 5%
Listing is free. There is no subscription or separate buyer service fee. On a completed payment, the marketplace fee is deducted from the seller’s proceeds and calculated on the item price plus seller-charged shipping. Stripe processing fees are separate and charged to the seller by Stripe.

The seller pays the actual shipping expense from those proceeds. Stripe’s rate depends on the seller’s account, card and transaction. See Stripe pricing and your Stripe dashboard for your applicable fees.
Refunds and disputes
When a full refund is issued through FlyGearExchange, the marketplace fee is refunded too. The buyer receives the full original payment, including original shipping. Stripe may retain original processing fees or charge other applicable fees; those costs are not deducted from the buyer’s refund. Refunds issued outside the app may require a separate marketplace-fee adjustment through support.
Payments go to the seller’s connected Stripe account. Funds are not held until delivery or inspection. Stripe controls bank payout timing, and disputes can affect the seller’s balance. Read our return and dispute process.
Sales tax
This version does not calculate or collect sales tax at checkout. That does not mean a transaction is tax-exempt. Marketplace collection duties and a seller’s own duties depend on applicable law; using direct seller payments does not eliminate marketplace tax obligations. Contact support before a sale if required tax cannot be handled correctly. Do not request an undisclosed extra tax payment after checkout.
